I have been swamped with work since our return to the US last week.
I have been meaning to write to you and thank you.
The apartment was a dream. Location perfect in La Pergola. The lay out was lovely. The view perfect. I think you even made the weather wonderful for us!
I cannot wait to write you again and see if we can rent it again in the future. ( can you tell- I did not want to come home).

The first few days Tom was off riding l'Etape and it was great to hole up and do work. The internet connection was wonderful. Then when he arrived we had daily lovely bike rides up to L'Rhum and down to San Sebastian. I was thrilled.

In July 2009, we stayed at Dana’s apartment in St Jean de Luz. St Jean is a lovely little fishing village just south of Biarittz on the SW coast - close to the Spanish border. The apt is a wonderful French studio with parquet wooden floors and lovely mountain views through the French doors. It is nicely decorated, fully equipped and right on the beach front, meaning its only a 50 meter walk around the corner to get the beach, which was perfect for us. The beach is a magnificent long stretch of golden sand with calm, almost wave free water. At night we visited the wonderful restaurants in the village. The Pyrenees are close by for walking in the mountains or one can catch an old train to the top & take in the stunning views. We also took a day trip to see a stage of the Tour de France and another to see the historic Spanish town of San Sebastian. Generally, however, we were content to stay at the beach and in our peaceful apartment. We had such a wonderful week in St Jean de Luz that we have booked another 2 weeks.

I WISH WE WERE GOING BACK THIS YEAR.. WE WERE ACTUALLY IN HOSSEGOR IN OCT FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS, AND LET ME TELL YOU, THAT RENTAL WAS A NIGHTMARE..SO BAD, THAT WE ACTUALLY THOUGHT ABOUT LEAVING FOR MADRID 5 DAYS EARLY...THOUGHT ABOUT CONTACTING YOU TOO.
WE LOVED YOUR LITTLE PLACE, SO WILL KEEP IN MIND FOR THE NEXT TIME..IN FACT WERE JUST TALKING ABOUT IT A COUPLE DAYS AGO.

We got the keys no problems. We also had a wonderful week in the apartment.
St Jean de Luz is amazing. We got out to San Sebastian and the Pyrenees for day trips also.
The apatment was very clean and very well organised. Thank you very much for making our week so enjoyable. The chocolates were absolutely delicious we made sure to stock up on more before we came home.
We hope to be in contact with you again as we'd love to return to St. Jean de Luz.
